Virtual golf. Real data.

vTour is virtual golf on real StrackaGolf course data. Coming soon for mobile. You swipe to hit. You putt on real putting maps. The aerials, greens, and yardage are the same dataset that powers StrackaBook — laser-scanned since Jim Stracka invented the green-reading map in 2007, sitting in a 31K+ course database with 13,000+ full green maps. Play it at golfvtour.com.

vTour tee shot on real course data

Coming soon for mobile: swipe to hit, putt on real StrackaGolf putting maps.

How it plays

Hit the ball with a finger swipe. Straight back and through. Off line, and you push or pull. The swing is the swipe.

On the green you putt on real putting maps. Read the slope. Figure out the correct target line. That map is the same dual-view topographic surface that prints in a USGA greens guide and appears in Putt Line + GPS. How to read slope percent and the fall line on that surface is still How to Read Green Heat Maps. vTour is a game. It is not a Rule 4.3 competition map, and it is not a substitute for the printed book in a tournament.

Built on StrackaGolf course data — the same aerials, greens, and yardage that power StrackaBook. More than two million physical books have been sold from that work. 900+ NCAA teams and 170+ industry partnerships already use the scan. vTour is that scan as a round you can play when you are not on the property.

Then keep playing

After the hole, the same family of products takes over. Live leaderboards, weekly challenges, and play against friends are how a virtual round stays a field. Posted-golf events and boards for a real tournament sit on Golf event leaderboards. Course prep and stats after a real round sit on Course Prep + Stats. Developers who want the dataset in their own app use the golf course data API.

Coming soon for mobile is the whole status line. Open golfvtour.com for the game page. This site does not run checkout, and it does not host a download button for a test build.
