How to Order a Yardage Book for Any Course

You do not check out on strackagolf.com. Books, greens guides, and combo books are sold on StrackaLine.com. This page is the order path: find the course, read which product is actually available, and know where facilities, college teams, and support go if you are not buying a single book for yourself.

Jim Stracka invented the laser-scanned green-reading map in 2007. More than two million physical books have been sold since. The catalog behind those books is 31K+ courses in the database, with 13,000+ of those carrying full hyper-accurate green data. Those two numbers are not the same, and the store listing is how you see which one applies to the course you play.

Search the course first, then choose yardage, a USGA greens guide, or a combo.

1. Search the course

Open the store at strackaline.com/courses/store and search the course name. If the course has more than one layout, pick the one you actually play. The listing — not a guess from the homepage course count — is what tells you whether you can buy yardage, a greens guide, a combo, or a digital option.

31K+ courses sit in the database. That is the search universe. 13,000+ courses have full hyper-accurate green data. A course can appear in search with yardage and still not have a full USGA greens guide. If green-reading is why you are ordering, do not add to cart until the options on that course show green data.

2. Pick yardage, greens guide, or combo

These are different books:

• Yardage book — tee-to-green measurements, elevation, cover to bunkers and penalty areas, distance rings, and a compass off the tee and to the greens.
• USGA greens guide — dual-view topographic slope in percent (accurate to the millimeter), 1-yard / 5-yard grid, hazards and sprinkler heads, printed at no larger than 3/8 inch to 5 yards in a book no larger than 4 1/4 × 7 inches.
• Combo — yardage plus USGA greens in one book.

If you only need hole numbers, order yardage. If you only need the putting surface and the course has green data, order the greens guide. If you want both jobs in one binding, order the combo. A printed book and a phone map are not the same order. Digital putting-green images still have to meet scale and size limits. You may not zoom a green past 3/8 inch to 5 yards, and the device may not produce a recommended line of play from ball location. 3. Confirm green data before you pay

Once you find the course in the store, the options on that course tell you which features are available. That is the same check we already publish on Contact Support: the listing shows whether green data is there. All Stracka books are reviewed every year for course changes. If the course you need is missing, or the layout looks wrong, do not invent a workaround — contact support.

4. Facilities, wholesale, and college teams

A single-player order and a shop order are different doors. Pro shops and facilities that want greens guides or yardage books in quantity — including custom covers — use strackaline.com/facilities/info and the pricing already posted on wholesale book pricing. 5. Shipping, support, and stats
